Privacy Policy — V Mining Services (VMS)

V Mining Services Pty Ltd (ACN 692 398 913), and its related entities (referred to as VMS, we, us or our) are an Australian mining contractor providing drilling, civil construction, mining, crushing and screening, and haulage services.

 

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use, disclose and protect your personal information. It applies to anyone who visits our website, submits an enquiry, applies for a job, or engages our services.

 

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) .

    • Purpose: Internal storage of documents, including resumes, through Microsoft 365

    • Data is stored within Australia.

    • Purpose: Responding to enquiries, processing job applications, and delivering our services

  • Professional advisers

    • Examples: Legal, accounting, insurance and compliance advisers

    • Purpose: Providing professional advice and supporting our business operations and compliance obligations

  • Government and regulatory bodies

    • Purpose: Meeting legal and regulatory requirements where disclosure is required or authorised by law

 

All third-party service providers are contractually required to handle your personal information consistently with the APPs and this policy.

 

7. Cross-border disclosure

We do not transfer personal information to overseas recipients. All data is stored within Australia on Wix and Microsoft Azure Australian servers.

 

If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your consent before transferring your information overseas.

 

8. How we hold and protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include:

  • Secure storage on password-protected systems with multi-factor authentication;

  • Restricted access to personal information on a need-to-know basis;

  • Use of encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website;

  • Data retention and destruction policies for information no longer required.

 

When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it, unless we are required by law to retain it.
