SERVICES
Haulage

Off-road and on-road haulage capability for mine production, ore, and bulk commodities, for pit-to-port and pit-to-processing operations.
VMS delivers end-to-end haulage operations across mine sites, processing routes, civil developments, and port facilities throughout Australia. Our fleet capability spans high-tonnage off-road haulage, pit-to-processing and pit-to-port material movement, ROM pad management, stockpile rehandling, and civil material cartage.
Our haulage operations work directly alongside your existing site loading and crushing configurations to maintain continuous material movement. This service can be engaged as a standalone package or integrated seamlessly alongside VMS Mining, Civil, and Crushing operations to provide a single, friction-free delivery structure across your entire project.

On-Site Haulage
We provide on-site material haulage within mine operations, utilising our specialised fleet of off-road Kenworth C540 units for pit-to-ROM haulage, stockpile rehandle and direct crusher feeding. Built for heavy-duty mining and resource operations, our off-road units can haul payloads of up to 300 tonnes while maintaining consistent loaded speeds across extended haul roads and steep gradients. This combination of payload capacity and cycle performance gives us the ability to move more loads per shift, than using conventional road trains for off-road haulage operations. Which ultimately drives higher material throughput and optimises client’s total cost-per-tonne efficiency.
Ore and Bulk Commodity Haulage
We provide ore and bulk commodity haulage using our fleet of quad road train side tippers for long-distance movements, as well as ancillary fleet and equipment, such as belly dumpers, required for port and rail receival operations. Our experienced drivers and operators, backed by our in-house maintenance team, help maintain reliable haul cycles, ensuring production targets are met and directly optimising cost-per-tonne efficiency. We can manage either a single stage or the full movement from mine-site to bulk storage, processing, rail or port facilities, including port receivals and ship-out loading.
Civil and Infrastructure Haulage
We provide material cartage for civil construction, mine infrastructure, and project works across developing and operating sites. Our fleet handles bulk material transport and remote project haulage, supporting site development, road building, and infrastructure construction campaigns. We can scale our fleet deployment to match specific project timelines, operating under either short-term campaign scopes or fully integrated long-term contract models.
Heavy Haulage
We maintain internal heavy haulage capabilities to manage our own fleet mob/demobs, and on-site equipment relocations. Utilising our own transport equipment, including off-road float configurations, allows us to manage equipment deployment timelines directly across our project locations. While this infrastructure is maintained primarily for our own fleet, these assets are available to support on-site client asset movements and equipment relocations if required.

High-capacity haulage with Kenworth C540 off-road units
At the core of our site haulage operations are our Kenworth C540 “Bigfoot” units, purpose-built for high-capacity off-road haulage. Operated by our experienced haulage team, these units are designed to move large volumes of material across rough roads, steep gradients and demanding mine-site conditions.
With payload capacities of up to 300 tonnes, the Bigfoots allow us to move more material with fewer truck movements than conventional on-road combinations. This helps reduce traffic across pits, ramps, haul roads and other mine site areas while supporting safer, more efficient haul cycles.
Their wide, low-pressure tyre configurations also spread the load more effectively across unsealed surfaces, helping reduce rutting, corrugation and unnecessary haul-road wear. The result for our clients is less congestion, lower road-maintenance demand and a powerful, purpose-built haulage capability that keeps production moving.
This heavy-haul capacity allows our team to take on demanding off-road scopes that standard highway configurations cannot support. By utilizing assets built specifically for heavy mining applications we ensure our haulage operations supports your production targets from the pit to the ROM pad.
